New access to the roof of the Duomo, Milano

The access from the square to the roof of the Duomo in Milan, is currently possible  through simple indecorous metal structures, barely recognizable, with restricted and inadequate spaces.

Our project aims at replacing the existing metal structures, located in all four sides of the transept, with new spaces more appropriate in size, functionality, character and decorum.

In the new blocks, space was made to accommodate control and security services, ticket office, display of information materials and a bookshop.
